As we know, one of Blood Lance abilities is to release a lance that briefly resides within an enemy, dealing damage to the initial target and any pierced enemies over 3 seconds. While this damage can spread to surrounding enemies, it primarily targets a single enemy. This lack of range significantly reduces its usefulness compared to Blight or Sever.

How Will Blood Lance Necromancer Evolve In The Future?

Although Blood Lance Necromancer enjoyed impressive performance in Season 10 thanks to the addition of Chaos Armor, this build still lags behind other Necromancer builds.

Perhaps a new, exclusive Unique could address the shortcomings of this skill, but for now, Mutilator Plate remains the only Blood Lance-specific Unique.

We believe there are many future possibilities for this build. Especially against group enemies, Blood Lance could benefit from new Uniques to increase its utility in these situations. These could include granting bonus damage to nearby enemies upon hitting them, allowing Lance to pierce enemies in multiple directions when using skills, or granting Blood Lance a bonus upon dealing damage.

We believe that with the added power of these Uniques, Blood Lance Necromancer will have even more impressive performance in Diablo 4.
