Elden Ring Nightreign Guardian Remembrance Quest Guide: How To Complete This Questline?
Elden Ring Nightreign offers players multiple playable classes, and Guardian is one of them, but to unlock the full power of this Nightfarer, you must complete his Remembrance Quest.
Many players have complained about the difficulty of completing Guardian Remembrance storyline, as it is very complex. If you are also stuck in the same dilemma, then you may be able to follow the route to complete the quest.

Start The Quest
The first thing we need to do is to play Guardian class in an Expedition. We need to successfully complete an Expedition as a Guardian to enter the first Remembrance quest step in Chapter 4 of his journal.
Defeat Guardian Golem
Once we’ve completed the mission, we can head to Roundtable Hold and start the first Remembrance for Guardian in Chapter 4 of Journal.
To start the first quest objective: Defeat Guardian Golem Nightlord, we need to complete the conversation with Iron Menial first.
Guardian Golem's location may be different in each server, so here we’ll just give you an example.
Guardian Golem is located in the southwest corner of our map, and since this is close to the starting point of the squad’s expedition, we decided to head there right away. After defeating Golem, we just need to complete Expedition to get the reward for the objective.
That being said, to access further chapters of Guardian’s journal, you will most likely need to defeat more Nightlords, so do your best to succeed.
After defeating Gladius Beast of the Night and completing our personal objectives, we can return to Roundtable Hold, speak with Iron Menial, and obtain Second Volume. We can then use the nearby portal to leave Remembrance.
Once we’ve completed this, we’ll receive Stone Stake Relic, which can be equipped to any red container slot at Relic Rites station.

Find Demon Merchant
At this point, I’ve successfully completed two Expeditions as a Guardian, defeating a total of two Nightlords.
Next, we’ll want to enter Journal Chapter 6. Make sure you’ve completed Chapter 6 entry before starting Remembrance quest, though.
A new ghost NPC will then appear near the wardrobe northeast of Roundtable Hold. We can speak to him multiple times to obtain an Eerie Charm, then return to the central room to continue advancing the quest.
After a brief interaction, we can return to the ghost NPC and eliminate him. Once completed, we need to talk to Iron Menial again and understand all his dialogue. Doing so should give us another personal goal, which is to find Demon Merchant.
As we all know, Demon Merchant is the final boss of Equilibrious Beast Expedition, but if you want to prioritize completing this Expedition for this reason, you may be wrong.
Because after multiple attempts, we found that we could not find him in the first two days, at least not in my game. Perhaps defeating the final boss will complete the goal, but because the challenge difficulty of Libra Creature of the Night is really too high, it is not wise to prioritize it.
Therefore, it is recommended that you choose Fissure in the Fog Expedition, because Demon Merchant will always appear here.
We can choose to fight Merchant and defeat him to complete the goal, but it is very difficult. Alternatively, we can talk to him directly, say “I want the tome”, and then pay the required 10000 runes, which are much easier in comparison.
Completing this operation and then completing the goal will give us the Third Volume target item.
Once again, I recommend that you do your best to defeat the final boss, as this may be your final step in Guardian quest.
Then, after returning to Roundtable Hold, we need to talk to Iron Menial NPC and complete all of his dialogue before we can use the nearby portal to leave Remembrance.
Talk To Recluse
At this point, I have successfully completed and defeated the final boss of three Expeditions as a Guardian, which is a prerequisite for unlocking the final Guardian Remembrance in Chapter 9 of his journal.
Once completed, we can read the nearby scrap of paper and then read a book in the library. We then need to travel to the northwest cliff of Roundtable Hold to find and confront Recluse.
After talking to Recluse, we need to make a decision: punish her or forgive her. In fact, no matter which option you choose, you will eventually forgive Recluse.
After completing Remembrance journey, we will receive the last entry of Guardian’s Journal, Witch’s Brooch Relic, and Guardian Remembrance Cosmetic Skin, which can be equipped in the wardrobe of Roundtable Hold.
