By Mikel Skiles | Last ModifiedOct 11, 2025

The second collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Arkveld has officially begun, added to the game as part of patch 7.35. This collaboration brings new battles and rewards to the game.

The biggest new addition to this collaboration is Guardian Arkveld challenge. This massive winged beast, introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds, has become the target of a new challenge in FF 14. Players must pursue Guardian Arkveld, engage in battles, and defeat it, earning special currency that can be redeemed for rewards.

For more information on how to unlock this storyline, what rewards are available, and more, read on.

Completing Monster Hunter Wilds Quests In Final Fantasy XIV

As with previous games, there are prerequisites for successfully unlocking the storyline in Final Fantasy XIV. The first is having a combat class at level 100, and the second is completing the main storyline quest, Dawntrail.

It's worth noting that this quest is not a limited-time quest. Players who have just begun their adventure in Final Fantasy XIV can wait to attempt the challenge until they meet the requirements. If you'd like to meet the requirements faster, you can choose to spend Final Fantasy XIV Gil to gain a food buff. Any type of food will provide a 3% experience boost, helping you reach your goal faster.

Players who have already met the requirements can first visit Dawn Hunt Tracker in Tuliyollal, near Bayside Bevy Marketplace (X:13.3 Y:13.1).

After speaking with a NPC, you will be offered the quest White Wanderer. Following the instructions, you will find Arkveld. Once you have a qualified combat class and have upgraded your item level to 725 using Final Fantasy XIV Gil, you can challenge Guardian Arkveld.

After completing Windward Wilds on Normal difficulty, you can visit Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal to unlock Extreme version of Windward Wilds challenge. Please note that to participate in Extreme difficulty challenge, you must have upgraded your combat class item level to at least 740.

Final Fantasy XIV And Monster Hunter Wilds Collaboration Rewards

Completing Dawn Hunt Tracker quest will reward you with Seikret Horn, which summons Seikret mount, Outdoor Hunter's Grill, and Hunter's Camp Chair.

In this Final Fantasy XIV event, defeating Guardian Arkveld is the primary way to obtain Monster Hunter Wilds collaboration items. Completing Windward Wild rewards Guardian Scales, the event currency used to obtain Monster Hunter Wilds items. Besides these rewards, you'll also receive standard rewards—Ancient Tomes and Veldian Weapon Coffer, which can be opened by any class to obtain an item level 745 Veldian weapon.

Interacting with Arkveld's head before leaving Trial will grant you two Guardian Scales.

Players seeking a higher difficulty level can try Extreme Trial. Completing Extreme Trial rewards Guardian Arkveld Certificates. Five Guardian Arkveld Certificates can be used to upgrade Veldian weapons. To complete battles faster, you can invest Final Fantasy XIV Gil to upgrade your equipment and increase your combat effectiveness.

There's a chance Felyne Support Team Cart mount will drop in Extreme Windward Wilds battles. This mount sells for 99 Guardian Arkveld Certificates at Smithy.

In addition to the rewards mentioned above, you can also exchange Guardian Scales or Guardian Arkveld Certificates for Armor, Weapons, Mounts and Minions, Housing, and other rewards at Smithy in Tuliyollal.
